After much searching, I finally re-located the Pipsissewa (Chimaphila umbellata). I hadn't seen it since last year, but found a nice healthy patch this visit. Next year I must try to catch it in flower.
It started snowing while I was collecting lichens in a clearing along the brook at the Witchwood.
