One of the many wonderful things about mosses is that, unlike herbaceous plants, a great variety are accessible even in the middle of winter.
I aspire to learn to identify these complex, diminutive, and secretive plants. Many require a microscope for identification, so I've started collecting samples that I can learn to identify at home.
I don't have IDs yet, but look at the beauty of them!
